About Me

Hey!  Thanks for stopping by...

I am a husband, a father of three beautiful kids (with another on the way) and a follower of Jesus Christ.

I am also the university minister at Belmont University and have 13 years experience in our field at 4 different institutions [Palm Beach Atlantic University 97-01; Asbury College 01-04;
Pepperdine University 04-05 and Belmont University 05-present], serving 3 different denominations [Baptist, United Methodist and Church of Christ].

I earned my bachelor degree in Youth Ministry from Bethel College (now Bethel University) located in St. Paul, MN in 1997.  While working in my first position in campus ministry at PBA I earned a Master of Arts in Ministry in 2000.  Finally, over the course of my time at Asbury, Pepperdine and Belmont I earned a Doctor of Ministry with an emphasis in spiritual formation and leadership development from George Fox Evangelical Seminary located in Portland, OR in 2005.

This blog is my attempt to think intentionally
with you about what God is doing in, and through, the field of college ministry, as well as to explore the life and soul care of those of us who serve in this key missional field.

I'll try to post every day during the work week, and I hope you'll share your thoughts with me, and any others that happen to stop by.
